This morning, my coffee got cold… twice.
Someone needed breakfast before I finished pouring my own. Another child couldn’t find a shoe. The baby wanted to be held. Laundry sat in the washer longer than I’d like to admit, and my to-do list somehow grew instead of shrank.
For a long time, I thought these ordinary moments were interruptions to the life God had called me to.
Now I’m learning they’re often the ministry.
Scripture doesn’t tell us to glorify God only when life feels organized. It tells us, “Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men.” (Colossians 3:23)
That includes changing diapers.
Washing dishes.
Reading the same picture book for the fifth time.
Making lunches.
Answering endless questions.
Showing up with patience when we’d rather have quiet.
The world celebrates the highlight reel, but God often works through the hidden faithfulness that no one else sees.
That’s what this space is about.
Not pretending we’ve got it all together.
Not chasing perfection.
Just sharing real life, honest faith, and the ways God continues to meet us in the ordinary.
If today’s been messy, you’re in good company.
Take a deep breath, warm up your coffee if you have to, and remember this:
Your faithfulness in the little things matters because the God who called you is faithful, too.
With Love,
